IB Subjects

Students will be taking a 3 core subjects together with 6 subjects from 5 subject groups. This will give a total of 9 subjects for International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Year 1 and Year 2

Admissions Criteria

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Year 1

Academic Requirement: Completed Secondary School or equivalent education and completed 10 years of formal education. Student must have taken at least 4 subjects including English and Mathematics. Students must complete the GCE O-Level or N-Level examinations, however they are not required to provide their certificate.
Language Requirement: Passing grade of C in English in midyear or prelim results
Satisfactory completion of Westbourne College (Singapore)’s internal assessment:
- Aptitude, English, and Math (each test will take no more than 1 hour)
- Interview with Principal

Tuition Fee & Scholarships

Enrolment dates:

While the academic year runs from August to June, eligible students in Singapore can join our IBDP Year 1 in November, immediately after completing their O-Level or N-Level exams.

Tuition Fee (discounted rate for Singapore citizens and permanent residents):

S$2,429 per month or S$29,150 per academic year.

Scholarships:

10-40% remission based on Westbourne College (Singapore)’s internal scholarship test.

Teacher-to-student Ratio

At Westbourne College (Singapore), we prioritise small class sizes in a professional, office-style environment where each student is known by name and provided with personalised support. Yes, we recommend that you apply to Westbourne’s Accelerated IB Diploma Pathway before your GCE O-Level or N-Level examinations to secure your place at our school.

Should I wait for my GCE O-Level / N-Level exam results before applying to Westbourne?

No, Westbourne College (Singapore)’s internal assessment process allows eligible students to start in our accelerated IB Diploma Pathway immediately after completing their GCE O-Level or N-Level exams. This enables our students to graduate with an IB Diploma earlier than those pursuing the GCE A-Level or Polytechnic Diploma, allowing for an earlier entry into university.

Therefore, it is recommended that you apply to Westbourne prior to your exams to ensure sufficient time for our admission process.

Does Westbourne College (Singapore) accept Singaporean students?

Yes. We warmly welcome Singaporean students into our Accelerated IB Diploma Pathway. Our international school does not require MOE approval for Singapore citizens to enrol. We also accept expatriate students who are Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs), or holders of Long-Term Visit Passes (LTVP) and Dependent Passes (DP).
